Wild Grocer Market Update 4th November

Nov 05, 2024Lauren Wilson
It's a bumper week - with specials longer then we can handle!

We must admit the early drop of lychees have the whole team smiling - I suggest ordering quick before they're all gone. Whiting and wild Aussie asparagus is my go to BBQ dinner this weekend...
Say "Sayonara" to Tangelos and blood oranges: the quality is waning, so it's time to get stoned! Peaches, nectarines, mangoes, cherries - get on them, and celebrate the start of Australia's favourite season.
Blues, Blacks and Raspberries - we've been picking the best of the bunch. There's a fair bit of weather - affected stock going into the supermarkets, which means supply will shorten a little this week. However, they're still at a reasonable price for those cherished berries. Strawbs are on a great ticket if you're looking for a banging bargain.
FARMERS PICKS

Local cauliflowers from Farmer Corey are stunning. Broccolini is still in flush - make the most of it!
Farmer Simon is still winning with his glamorous English spinach, bok choy and shallots!

Charlie reckons it's a week to break out the cabbages - sp give his savoys and reds a whirl- knock up a Summer slaw!
Farmer Mic has been picking these wild aspargus - make the most of the prized green spear!

Plenty more specials in here.
