Heirloom Tomato & Burrata Salad

We've been busy in the kitchen whipping up this 5 ingredient salad that you can recreate this festive season. This flavour combo is incredible!

Balsamic Oil

  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 sprig basil leaves - finely chopped
  • 1 tsp balsamic vinegar

For the burrata platter

  • 4 heirloom tomatoes, sliced into wedges
  • 1 ball fresh burrata
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon toasted pistachios, chopped
  • Flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Toasted bread, for serving

Method

    • in a small bowl combine the olive oil, balsamic and chopped basil. Set to side.
    • Make the burrata platter: Arrange the tomatoes on the plate. Sprinkle with salt, then drizzle with some of the olive oil. Top with the basil and sprinkle with the pistachios.  Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve with toasted bread.
