How to cook your dumplings
Step 1, heat
Bring water to a rolling boil and set up your steamer. Line with baking paper or cabbage leaves to prevent sticking.
Step 2, steam
Place dumplings in a single layer and steam for around 6 minutes, or until piping hot throughout. Add the bok choy to the steamer for the last 2 minutes until just tender and bright green.
Step 3, serve
Serve straight away with the included dipping sauce and steamed bok choy on the side.
First time cooking dumplings? Don’t stress, steaming is the easiest and most foolproof method.
*Hosting tip*
If you have two steamers, or a stacked steamer, use both to cook more at once. You can also simply serve dumplings as you steam them, bring them to the table in waves and let everyone tuck in while the next batch cooks. If you’d rather keep everything warm, pop cooked dumplings onto a tray, cover loosely with foil, and hold in a low oven at 80–90°C.
