Season & prep – Lightly season chicken tenderloins with salt & pepper.

Brown the chicken – Heat a pan over medium-high heat with 1 tsp butter (and a splash of olive oil if needed). Add chicken tenderloins and cook for about 3 minutes, turning to brown on all sides.

Add the paste – Stir in the Texan paste, coating the chicken well. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer gently for 2–3 minutes.

Shred in the pan – Using two forks, shred the chicken directly in the pan so it soaks up all that smoky Texan flavour.

Serve – Pile into tacos, sliders, or wrap it up with slaw for an easy, bold midweek dinner.
